Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health legislation and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with DOSH, DOE, and other regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintain statutory records, permits, and safety-related documentation.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
- Conduct and maintain HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control).
- Support workplace assessments such as CHRA, Noise Risk Assessment (NRA), and Ergonomic Risk Assessment (ERA), where applicable.
- Identify hazards and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
Incident Investigation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, and near-miss events.
- Prepare investigation reports and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Safety Inspection and Monitoring
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
- Support contractor safety management during maintenance and project activities.
Training and Safety Awareness
- Coordinate safety-related training programs and awareness activities.
- Support Emergency Response Team (ERT), fire drills, chemical spill response training, and first aid programs.
- Promote safety awareness and a proactive safety culture across the organization.
Emergency Preparedness
- Support implementation and maintenance of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure emergency equipment readiness.
Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
- Participate in internal audits and external certification audits.
- Maintain IMS documentation and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
