Safety Coordinator
Location: Sendayan TechValley, Seremban

Salary Range: RM3,500, negotiable based on experience
We are currently hiring for the position of Safety Coordinator for an established manufacturing company based in Sendayan TechValley, Seremban.
The hiring company is involved in the manufacturing of chemicals and chemical products, with a focus on high-purity electronic materials and electronics specialty gases. Its products support industries such as semiconductor, LED, LCD, photovoltaic, and other advanced electronics manufacturing markets.
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in workplace safety coordination, safety inspections, safety documentation, incident reporting, compliance monitoring, PPE control, emergency response support, and safety awareness activities within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring workplace safety, health, and environmental procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, training records, and related documentation.
- Assist in investigating workplace incidents, near misses, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety issues are properly resolved.
- Support safety briefings, toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and safety awareness activities.
- Monitor compliance with company safety rules, PPE requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist in ensuring contractors, visitors, and employees comply with safety requirements while on company premises.
- Coordinate with internal departments on safety matters, workplace improvements, and hazard control measures.
- Support emergency response preparation, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, first aid arrangements, and emergency equipment checks.
- Assist in maintaining safety signage, safety equipment, PPE inventory, and other safety-related items.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities related to occupational safety and health.
- Promote good housekeeping, 5S practices, and a safe working culture within the workplace.
- Ensure safety activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, environmental standards, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Safety, or any related field.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of working experience in safety coordination, workplace safety, occupational safety, manufacturing safety, or related functions.
- Experience in the manufacturing, chemical, gas, electronic materials, semiconductor-related, or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of occupational safety and health practices, hazard identification, PPE control, safety inspections, incident reporting, and emergency response.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements, safety documentation, contractor safety, workplace inspections, and emergency drill coordination will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, observation, and reporting skills.
- Able to coordinate with employees, contractors, visitors, internal departments, and management on safety matters.
- Responsible, alert, disciplined, and able to follow up on safety issues effectively.
- Able to work independently and support day-to-day safety activities in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office for safety reporting and documentation.
