Safety Engineer

We're Hiring: Safety & Health Officer (Green Book Holder)

We are seeking a qualified and hands-on Safety & Health Officer (SHO) to lead and drive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices across our operations. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, building a strong safety culture, and supporting safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site safety implementation during project setup and operational phases
• Identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive controls
• Ensure full compliance with local EHS, DOSH, and environmental regulations
• Develop and enforce SOPs, checklists, and safety procedures across all activities
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and corrective actions to eliminate unsafe conditions
• Manage fire safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance (waste, noise, emissions)
• Deliver safety induction, toolbox talks, and annual training programs for employees and contractors
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and statutory records
• Monitor contractor, supplier, and visitor adherence to site safety requirements
• Support continuous improvement through incident analysis and monthly EHS reviews

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above, safe. Fire, mechanical, civil engineering related majors

2. 3 years or above safety-related work experience in large manufacturing enterprises, safety management experience in large-scale construction projects is preferred;

3. Familiar with enterprise security risk assessment, national and local environment. Health, safety, fire policies and regulations;

4. Have good pressure resistance, adapt to high intensity working pressure;

5. Certificate of registered Safety engineer is preferred;

6. English as a working language is preferred;

7. Familiar with local safety/environmental regulations in Malaysia and holding local safety/environmental certificates is preferred;
