Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible to:

Sales strategy Execution:

• Develop and lead initiatives to secure new business in assigned territories, with a focus on achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets.

• Proactively manage the sales pipeline, identifying, qualifying, and closing high-value deals.

• Use data insights and sales analytics to optimize strategies, adjust resource allocation, and enhance decision-making.

Client Solutions & Engagement:

• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor, deeply understanding clients challenges and recommending solutions tailored to their business needs and environmental goals.

• Deliver compelling presentations and product demos, effectively communicating our unique value proposition in sustainable IT.

• Foster long-term client relationships, ensuring a client-first approach that drives high satisfaction and retention.

Collaboration selling:

• Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, product, and support to enhance the customer experience from acquisition through post-sale.

• Leverage CRM and sales tools to track client interactions and provide seamless, data-informed service.

• Actively participate in cross-functional meetings to contribute to product enhancements, client feedback loops, and strategic planning.

Continuous Improvements & Learnings:

• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, especially in green IT and sustainable tech practices, sharing insights with the team and adapting your approach to reflect market shifts.

• Embrace a growth mindset, using feedback and ongoing learning to refine your sales strategies and build your skillset

 

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of the IT infrastructure landscape, including cloud services, data centers, and sustainable tech.

• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics, with a focus on data-driven selling and performance tracking

 

Client Centric Communication: 

• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building rapport with clients and delivering clear, impactful presentations.

• Ability to translate technical information into business value for clients, ensuring solution alignment with their needs.

Required Qualifications / Education Level:

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field. 

• Professional certifications in IT infrastructure, sustainability, or sales (e.g., CISSP, PMP, or Green IT certifications) are an advantage.

Experience:

• 5+ years in IT sales, with at least 3 years in industries like BFSI that value green IT and sustainability.

• Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets in Malaysia and/or SEA or similar markets, with experience in complex solution selling highly preferred.
