Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities (new logos) in defined territories or industry verticals.
- Consultative Selling: Analyze customer technical challenges and pain points, providing strategic, value-based solutions that demonstrate ROI.
- Technical Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations and live, tailored software demonstrations to engineers, managers, and executive stakeholders.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring an accurate forecast for the quarter and fiscal year.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers and technical champions, including C-level executives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineers to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations, managing commercial terms and license renewals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies (e.g., AI in simulation).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical), Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in technical software sales, specifically simulation software (e.g., Simcenter, STAR-CCM+, competitive solutions).
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record in hunting new business, managing long enterprise sales cycles, and exceeding sales quotas.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CAE, virtual prototyping, and simulation workflows.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Travel: Ability to travel (often up to 30%50%) for customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specific industries: Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, High Tech, or Industrial Equipment.
- Experience in selling SaaS or subscription-based software.
