Job Description


Role Description As a Sales Advisor at AIA, you will help individuals and businesses understand and select suitable life, health, and savings solutions aligned with their financial goals and protection needs. You will engage prospective and existing customers through consultations, presentations, and follow-ups, providing clear explanations of products, benefits, and policy terms. Daily activities include prospecting, building and maintaining client relationships, preparing tailored proposals, and supporting customers throughout the onboarding and after-sales process. You will collaborate with team members and managers on campaigns, participate in training and coaching sessions, and stay informed about product updates and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kuala Lumpur, with a combination of on-site client meetings and office work, as well as some flexibility to work from home.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to build trust, understand client needs, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear verbal explanations and professional written correspondence with diverse customers.
  • Demonstrated sales skills, including prospecting, consultative selling, and closing, ideally within financial services or insurance.
  • Experience in delivering or receiving training, with the ability to continuously learn and apply new product, sales, and regulatory knowledge.
  • Secondary diploma or equivalent required; a diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Comfort working with targets and performance metrics, with a results-oriented and ethical approach to selling.
  • Proficiency with basic office and CRM tools to manage leads, track activities, and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Fluency in English; additional local languages are an advantage for serving a diverse client base.
