The Opportunity

In this role, you'll be responsible for helping landed homeowners in Malaysia get solar through our Rent-to-Own model. From initial inquiries to finalising their rooftop solar plans, your aim is to convert homeowners to solar believers. You'll also work closely with our Country Manager and be a core part of our mission to accelerate solar adoption in the region.

Your Role

• Manage inbound sales leads from our online solar calculator (https://calculator.getsolar.ai) and qualify potential customers.
• Guide homeowners through the Rent-to-Own solar process, answering questions and providing expert advice.
• Conduct advisory calls, walk customers through solar proposals, and pitch our Rent-to-Own solar systems in a clear and compelling way.
• As and when required, visit customers homes to plan and design solar panel systems that meet their needs and preferences.
• Organise and manage your sales pipeline, following up with potential customers to close deals and over-achieve monthly sales targets.
• Communicate with customers across various channels, including email, calls, WhatsApp, and our internal CRM system.

Your Credentials

• 1 - 2 years of work experience in Sales or Business Development. Past experience in renewable energy, tech or fast-paced startups is a plus.
• Highly motivated, independent, and results-driven with the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
• Friendly, customer-centric, and comfortable engaging with a variety of people.
• Able to proactively manage multiple tasks, and handle sales operations and pipeline management efficiently.
• Open to working non-standard hours, including weekends or evenings if necessary, and willing to travel for site surveys at customers homes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with strong proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and / or Mandarin Chinese
• Passionate about the solar and renewable energy, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Familiarity with CRM software and tools is a bonus.

Contract Type and Location

This is a full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur with attractive commissions on top of a base salary. Candidates who are not in Malaysia need not apply.
