Job Description

We are seeking a Sales & Technical Manager with hands-on experience in BESS, technical support and customer-facing sales. In this role, you will help grow the business by supporting customers, shaping solutions and driving key opportunities in our target markets. You will work closely with our engineering and commercial teams to drive overall commercial activities and translate business strategies into concrete actions that align our BESS solutions and proposals with market needs and growth objectives.

Job responsibilities:

Customer Support / Techno-Commercial Functions

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing their technical enquiries, issues and concerns. Perform scenario analyses and prepare ROI (return on investment) calculations and dashboards to demonstrate the financial effectiveness of the proposed business models, together with suitable technical solutions from Green Tenaga.
  • Work with other members of the multi-disciplinary engineering team to review load profiles and design the Energy Storage System (ESS) to meet the load requirements set out in the customer's technical specifications, including selecting the equipment, components and materials required for the BESS.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop battery container layouts and equipment arrangements, and coordinate with electrical, civil and PV engineering teams to deliver complete installation packages.

Customer Engagement & Business Development Activities

  • Conduct engagement sessions and trainings with various groups of customers (partners, end users, consultants) on BESS technology and identify opportunities for BESS deployment.
  • Advise customers on the savings potential and other benefits of utilising BESS solutions.
  • Work with energy authorities in various countries to understand the latest trends in energy plans, green energy directions and the potential for BESS.
  • Use these insights to build business plans and ensure the company has the right product portfolio in line with regulatory plans and customer needs.
  • Drive business development activities, including customer meetings, active participation in trade fairs, and actively introducing Green Tenaga's offerings to target markets.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Experience in solar integration (commercial & industrial buildings) is an advantage.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
  • Effective team player with good interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under tight timelines and resource constraints.
  • Comfortable using technology and digital tools to improve productivity.
