Role Description

  • As a Solar Sales Consultant in Next Energy Sdn. Bhd., you will be responsible for promoting and selling solar PV systems and related services to residential and commercial clients.
  • You will be responsible for identifying potential customers, assessing their energy needs, and providing tailored solar solutions. (Training will be provided)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential customers through various channels.
  • Follow up with customers to close sales.
  • Generate leads and build a pipeline of potential clients interested in solar PV solutions.
  • Develop creative sales and marketing techniques to effectively communicate with potential clients.
  • Conduct in-depth consultation with clients to understand their energy needs and financial goals.
  • Visit client sites and conduct drone surveys to assess the feasibility of solar installations.
  • Provide preliminary PV project study in terms of feasibility and costing.
  • Gather relevant data on roof condition, shading, and energy consumption.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and quotes for solar PV systems.
  • Clearly communicate system specifications, costs, and ROI to clients.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to educate clients on solar technology and its advantages.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing to meet both company and client objectives.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients and provide exceptional post-sale support, address any issues or inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance.
  • Collaborate with the technical and installation team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to installation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Ensure all payments are made by the client before the due date and follow up with all existing payments following the provided turnaround time policy.
  • Follow up with customer satisfaction and provide feedback for continuous growth.
  • Perform any other function that may be assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Professional Certificates or equivalent in Business Studies / Management / Marketing.
  • 0-2 years of related sales experience / fresh graduates are highly welcomed.
  • Senior and team lead roles are also available.

Technical / Functional Skills

  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good attention to detail
  • Knowledge in social media advertising and CRM software is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Good Presentation and Writing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of solar PV technology and energy systems is a plus
  • Highly motivated to perform follow-ups and negotiations to ensure closing of sales

Personal Skills

  • Persuasive ability
  • Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required
  • Must be independent, able to multitask and cope well under pressure
  • Experienced in Client Management - working with internal and external client, partners
  • Confident and outgoing personality
  • Positive attitude, results oriented, and able to work independently
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
