Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Sales Director - Building Solutions & Services to lead commercial strategy and execution across service sales and retrofit solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role driving sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow service sales and retrofit solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market potential.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities, assess risks, and adapt strategies proactively.
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to set clear targets and allocate resources effectively for sustainable growth.
- Oversee tendering, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations, ensuring competitive positioning while maintaining profitability and compliance.
- Drive the sales team to achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets by providing guidance, motivation, and performance management.
- Build and maintain strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring long-term partnerships that drive repeat business.
- Lead retrofit initiatives by developing tailored solutions that meet customer needs, improve safety, and extend asset lifecycle.
- Improve conversion rates from maintenance to retrofit and repair sales through targeted campaigns, value-based selling, and customer education.
- Foster a culture of performance, safety, and continuous improvement, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to industry standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and address escalated issues promptly by implementing corrective actions and driving service quality improvements.
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for a seasoned commercial leader with strong business acumen and a proven track record in technical B2B sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and service within technical or industrial sectors.
- Proven leadership in managing large teams and multiple business units.
- Strong P&L ownership and strategic planning experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence.
- Demonstrated experience in retrofit solutions and lifecycle services within building technologies, construction, or similar technical environments.
