We are looking for a Sales Engineer with strong technical expertise in Agriculture to support business growth and drive customer success across Malaysia. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, technology, and sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical advisor to the sales team throughout the sales cycle
- Provide technical consultation, product demonstrations, and solution design to customers
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable precision agriculture solutions
- Support RFIs/RFPs, including technical proposals and documentation
- Conduct product training for internal teams and clients
- Perform application studies and feasibility analysis for agriculture equipment and systems
- Assist in new product development and market introduction
- Maintain accurate records of projects, opportunities, and client interactions (CRM)
- Travel to customer sites for technical analysis, implementation, and support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Support deployment of precision agriculture technologies to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Contribute to market expansion and new business opportunities
- Provide insights on market trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Collaborate closely with sales, technical, and management teams
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, or Agricultural Engineering
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in agriculture machinery or precision agriculture solutions
- Strong understanding of agriculture equipment, GPS/automation systems, or smart farming technologies
- Good communication skills in English (written & spoken)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & CRM systems
- Willing to travel across Malaysia
