We are seeking a Sales Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or renewable energy projects. The Sales Engineer will take charge of daily sales operations, client engagement, and technical support.
The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong interpersonal skills to drive sales, support business development initiatives, and ensure high-quality service for clients in the hydrogen and clean energy sector.
Job Description
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the hydrogen and renewable energy sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and execution of sales strategies and business development initiatives.
- Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, and potential projects.
Technical Sales Support
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product documentation.
- Present technical solutions and product capabilities to clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance during sales discussions and negotiations.
Market Research & Industry Monitoring
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and developments in hydrogen and clean energy projects.
- Conduct research on potential projects and investment opportunities in the region.
- Provide insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Client & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams for project documentation, delivery, and implementation.
- Ensure timely follow-up with clients and maintain strong communication.
- Maintain proper documentation and internal reporting of sales activities.
Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain client databases, sales records, and project reports.
- Prepare regular updates for management on sales performance and opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a related field.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of hydrogen technology, renewable energy, or industrial solutions preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and basic marketing tools.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
