1) Job Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for managing the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to post-sale support and client relationship management. This role involves formulating effective sales strategies, delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs, negotiating win-win agreements, and driving business growth. A successful Sales Executive demonstrates a consultative approach, market awareness, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations and revenue targets. This role is also expected to undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by the superior or management.
2) Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through sales activities such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and social media.
- Conduct meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs, expectations and business challenges.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Recommend customized solutions aligned with customer specific objectives.
Client Relationship Management
- Collect and analyse customer feedback to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide high-quality after-sales support, addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client engagement and proactively identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to promote repeat business and generate referrals
Market Research and Monitoring
- Conduct market research to explore new business channels and growth areas.
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Regularly track and report on competitor pricing, product offerings, promotions and market presence.
- Provide insights and suggest tactical adjustments to pricing, positioning or sales approach to stay competitive in the market.
Sales Negotiation & Closure
- Follow up on sales quotations and proposals to address client concerns and facilitate timely decision making.
- Pursue and convert qualified leads to achieve sales targets and support overall business growth.
- Lead final stage discussion with clients and coordinate with internal teams to finalize delivery and commercial terms.
- Negotiate and secure agreements that meet both client requirements and company goals.
- Address client objections confidently by providing clear, data-driven responses and tailored solutions.
Sales Reporting and Targets
- Achieve assigned sales targets and deliver results within established timelines
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates on progress toward goals.
3) Authorities
- Represent the company in negotiations and client meetings within assigned limits.
- Recommend pricing strategies and client engagement approaches.
- Initiate sales proposals, quotations, and contractual documents in collaboration with relevant departments.
4) Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience with a solid track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
- Industry experience in industrial supply, marine services, oil & gas, or FMCG is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel within based locations and across other regions as required.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Knowledge of local dialects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting systems.
