Heidelberg Materials has been a prominent name in Malaysia since acquiring Hanson in 2007. As the largest producer of quality aggregates and asphalt, the company holds a leading market position in ready-mixed concrete, with operations involving 15 quarries, 16 asphalt plants, and 45 ready-mixed concrete plants across Malaysia. Our workforce, comprising 1,800 employees and contractors, contributes to the success of iconic projects such as the Petronas Twin Towers and various rail transit systems. Headquartered in Subang Jaya, Selangor, with regional offices in Penang, Johor Bahru, and Kuantan, our operations extend across Central, North, South, and East Malaysia.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies with the Regional Sales Manager to grow awareness, sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Achieve sales KPIs including volume, market share, pricing, and margin within assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive volume and brand loyalty.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and support annual budgeting.
  • Conduct regular market and site visits to secure sales, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
  • Apply best-practice sales techniques and maintain strong product and technical knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Technical, Credit Control, Distribution, and Operations teams to ensure service excellence and timely issue resolution.
  • Manage costs and accounts receivable within targets.
  • Participate in training, coaching, and performance reviews to support continuous development.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, including Competition Law, EHS, QA, HR, and Credit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Possess Degree in Marketing/Business Administration or Bachelor Degree in Civil/ Mechanical /Mineral Resources/Material Science Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in building materials or related industry or its equivalent.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in market analysis and understanding of sales strategies
  • Ability to prepare detailed sales reports and maintain excellent documentation
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Experience in construction, building materials, or related industries is an added advantage
