Sales executive (Japanese specker)

Job Summary:

The Sales Executive maintains and expands relationships with existing clients in the food industry (supermarkets, food processing plants, food service chains). The role involves selling packaging materials, kitchen equipment, and store supplies while enhancing customer satisfaction. Opportunities exist to advance to manager and eventually GM.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Account Management:
2. Manage 50-60 existing clients (approx. 90% of workload)
3. Maintain relationships with Japanese and local companies (ratio 50:50)
4. Propose products based on client needs (packaging, trays, kitchen equipment, etc.)
5. Prepare quotations, sales proposals, and order documents (Japanese & English)
6. Track sales progress and report to MD
7. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities

1. Client Support:
2. Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues
3. Provide product usage guidance and technical support
4. Assist with orders, delivery schedules, and inventory management

1. Internal Coordination & Administration:
2. Coordinate inventory and logistics internally
3. Maintain accurate client information
4. Prepare sales reports and progress updates

1. Market & Product Development Support:
2. Collect market trends and competitor information
3. Provide feedback on client needs and product improvements
4. Attend business trips in Malaysia or Southeast Asia as required

1. Future Management Responsibilities
2. Manage and coach sales staff
3. Participate in team strategy planning and goal setting
4. Recruit, train, and evaluate new team members

MUST TO HAVE:

-Own a private vehicle

-Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a manufacturing or trading company (handling 500-1000 SKUs, any scale)

-Business-level Japanese proficiency
