Role Purpose
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales performance and executing business strategies within the assigned territory. The role focuses on promoting company products, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and customers, and ensuring effective market coverage to achieve sales targets and business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Business Planning & Strategy Execution
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with Viatris sales strategies and objectives.
- Apply customer segmentation and targeting approaches to effectively align product offerings with the right patients through the appropriate customer channels.
Product & Market Knowledge
- Maintain Strong understanding of the assigned territory, priority products and the therapeutic areas.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of product strategy, positioning, key messages, programs, company developments, customers and competitors.
Sales Performance & Customer Engagement
- Drive sales performance by conducting regular and effective field visits and customer interactions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize sales volume, achieve sales targets and grow market share within the assigned territory.
Commercial Execution
- Leverage commercial programs, promotional materials and scientific literature to enhance customer awareness of Viatris products.
- Effectively differentiate products from competitors and respond to customer inquiries with confidence and professionalism.
Continuous Learning & Development
- Proactively pursue continuous learning and professional development to enhance selling capabilities.
Execution Excellence & Compliance
- Execute sales activities and territory plans effectively to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
- Deliver high-quality call execution, including proper product detailing, customer engagement and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, call plans and territory performance in company systems.
- Comply with all applicable industry regulations, company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to ethical promotion practices and ensure all product communications are accurate and in line with approved indications.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements, including timely reporting of adverse events.
- Maintain proper documentation and records to support audit readiness and business transparency.
Academic, Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline is required; a degree in Science, Pharmacy or a related field is preferred to support understanding of pharmaceutical products and therapeutic areas.
- Minimum two (2) years of sales experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and effectively manage customer relationships within an assigned territory.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in Pain therapeutic area is an advantage.
- Good understanding of sales processes, customer engagement and territory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and identify business opportunities.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare industry practices is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive successful customer outcomes.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
