- Take full ownership of sales performance in the Singapore market and Southern Malaysia (Johor). Plan and execute sales activities to achieve monthly and quarterly KPIs.
- Develop new customers including main contractors, developers, hardware dealers, and distributors in Singapore and Johor, while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing key accounts for long-term cooperation.
- Understand project requirements and recommend suitable product solutions, including waterproofing systems, construction coatings, sealants, drymix products, etc. Work closely with the technical team to provide site support when required.
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and commercial documentation. Participate in negotiations and actively drive deals to closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as technical support, customer service, logistics, and marketing to ensure smooth delivery and an excellent customer experience across cross-border projects.
- Conduct regular market visits in Singapore and Johor to gather intelligence on competitor pricing, activities, and market movements. Provide timely feedback on opportunities and emerging trends.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars in Singapore and Malaysia to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
Qualifications (The Type of Person We're Looking For)
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline (engineering, chemistry, or construction-related fields are an advantage).
- Minimum 35 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry, preferably with exposure to Singapore and/or Southern Malaysia (Johor) markets.
- Familiar with at least one of the following product categories:
- Waterproofing products (membranes, coatings, sealants, etc.)
- Construction or industrial coatings
- Adhesives, grout, drymix, or related building materials
- Candidates with experience from Sika, Saint-Gobain, Nippon Paint, Mapei, Weber, Saveto, or major regional/local distributors will be strongly preferred.
- Possess an existing network in the Singapore and/or Johor construction market (contractors, developers, distributors, hardware shops) and able to contribute quickly.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills. Able to communicate confidently in at least two of the following languages: English / Bahasa Malaysia / Mandarin (English is essential for the Singapore market).
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with good planning and time management skills.
- Willing to travel frequently between Singapore and Johor.
- Based in Johor or Kuala Lumpur, or open to working from either location.
