Job Description

Role Overview:
We are seeking an aggressive, results-driven, and highly networked Sales Manager to lead commercial growth within our fresh produce or fresh meat business units. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding market share, managing B2B relationships with key accounts (hypermarkets, wholesalers, food manufacturers, and Horeca), and driving volume for high-demand, short-shelf-life fresh food product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Penetration: Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to aggressively grow market share for fresh produce (vegetables/fruits) or fresh meat product portfolios.
  • Account Management: Manage, retain, and scale high-value partnerships with major supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesale wet markets, food services (Horeca), and large-scale manufacturing clients.
  • Cold Chain Optimization: Coordinate closely with logistics and supply chain teams to monitor daily stock rotation, minimize shrinkage/wastage, and ensure strict chilled cold-chain integrity from arrival to shelf.
  • Pricing Strategy: Conduct continuous market price mapping, navigating the highly volatile daily and weekly pricing nature of fresh livestock and fresh crops to establish competitive market pricing while protecting profit margins.
  • Compliance Alignment: Ensure all sales, distribution, and product handling practices strictly align with local regulatory bodies (such as JAKIM for Halal compliance, MAQIS, and Ministry of Health standards).
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of domestic supply trends, seasonal crop shifts, import quotas, and competitor movements to proactively capture high-volume opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of proven B2B sales experience specifically handling Fresh Produce (vegetables/fruits) or Fresh Meat/Poultry products.
  • An active, verified network of fresh food buyers, category managers, or tier-1 distributors within Malaysian retail and major wholesale hubs.
  • Deep understanding of chilled cold-chain logistics, daily shelf-life constraints, and product freshness/grading standards.
  • Strong familiarity with local Halal compliance standards, fresh food safety regulations (HACCP), and import procedures.
  • Possess own transport and willingness to travel frequently,
