We are partnering with a European based MNC that specializes in manufacturing of High Voltage Products. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Sales Manager as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Spearheading commercial growth and market positioning for a comprehensive portfolio of power transmission and electrical rotating equipment.
- Leveraging global technical resources to enhance regional market share and elevate brand equity within the industrial landscape.
- Adhering to corporate governance, ethical standards, and local statutory regulations to ensure full business compliance.
- Contributing deep market intelligence regarding competitors and customer trends to help shape a high-performing regional sales team.
- Executing a consistent field presence through regular site visits to identify emerging projects and promote specialized technical solutions.
- Providing high-level technical guidance to internal teams, channel partners, and end-users to ensure long-term service satisfaction and business continuity.
- Driving short-term revenue generation and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) to support regional operational goals.
- Cultivating strategic, long-term partnerships with decision-makers at engineering firms, consultants, OEMs, and industrial distributors.
- Mapping key stakeholders and technical influencers within client organizations to better understand their operational pain points and requirements.
- Overseeing the commercial bidding process to ensure all proposals are technically sound and aligned with client expectations.
- Leading contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms while mitigating organizational risk and exposure.
- Maintaining a rigorous follow-up process for open tenders, tracking competitive positioning, and monitoring project timelines.
- Securing positions on Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) through formal corporate presentations to targeted industrial accounts.
- Managing the project pipeline by gathering complex inquiries and tenders for the technical estimating team.
- Delivering comprehensive monthly reports on market activity, customer profiling, and project status to the executive leadership team.
Requirements:
- Possessing a recognized Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Demonstrating significant experience in the sales of industrial rotating machines, power conversion systems, or electrical distribution components.
- Showing a proven track record of managing large-scale tenders and complex technical sales cycles.
- Maintaining an established network of contacts among local consultants, EPCs, and major industrial end-users.
- Exhibiting strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate legal and financial terms in high-value contracts.
- Possessing excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and technical heads.
- Holding a valid driver's license and the flexibility for frequent domestic travel to support business development.
