Role Description The Sales Manager (Hospitality) is a full-time, on-site role based at Wyndham Grand i-City in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for driving room and event revenue by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and developing strong relationships with corporate, leisure, and group clients. Day-to-day activities include conducting sales calls and client visits, preparing proposals and contracts, managing the sales pipeline, and coordinating with the reservations, events, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of services. The Sales Manager will analyze market trends, participate in sales strategies and promotional activities, and prepare regular reports and forecasts to support commercial decisions. The role also involves representing the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and client functions, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and brand compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong hospitality sales experience, including account management, business development, and client relationship building.
- Proficiency in sales planning and forecasting, with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including revenue management, marketing, and operations.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment at a supervisory or manager level is strongly preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
