Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager will be responsible to develop sales market in designated region, segments and industries for a range of chemical and specialty chemical products in the domestic market as well as penetration into overseas market, i.e. SEA, Asia Pacific, etc.
- Develop business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goal and profitability, initiate and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate targeted products segment and new overseas markets.
- Identify and research for new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Setting out aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
- Business expansion into overseas market.
- Market intelligence analysis to perform data-driven decision making study current trend and customer's buying intention, provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing proposal while striving for maximum profit margin.
- Review and improve sales and marketing processes including to develop marketing materials, technical support, pre-sales and after sales, project sales and tender, sampling, etc.
- Work together with sales team to enhance selling skills, presentation, technical knowledge and closing the deals.
- Customer relationship management Provide effective customer service and solutions to problems, to satisfy customer requirements and maintain excellent rapport with them.
- Keep abreast of the development of the industry, providing technical know-how and business solution to existing and potential customers.
- Perform any other tasks as assign by the Management from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical related field (eg. chemical engineering, chemistry etc)/ at least 3 years of professional experience in relevant industries (preferred chemicals).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales and marketing, in dealing with chemicals commodity or chemicals distribution business.
- Good chemical-related knowledge and understanding of the technical specification and ability to convey quality effectively.
- Ability in managing and work closely with customers, production and customer service.
- Willing to travel within Malaysia and Singapore to work alongside customers to find out their needs.
