About the role

The incumbent will contribute to developing and executing sales strategies to achieve the company's financial objectives. The core responsibility is in overseeing the company's Field Sales professionals to ensure all activities and plans are implemented as planned and to ensure the attainment of sales targets for sales territories / franchises assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Plan, develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets set for sales territories / franchises assigned.
  • Support National Sales Manager in sales budgeting process; monitor the cost and effectiveness of sales activities at team level to optimize resources and priorities spending.
  • Develop business plans (i.e., price-volume contract, portfolio discount, tier-pricing, etc.) to maximize sales revenue of portfolio assigned and expand company's customer base.
  • Identifies shortcomings in marketing plans and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Contributes towards forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales leaders, contract research organization (CRO) if any, and upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
  • Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Provide input and market insights to Head of Sales and Business Development department for future products
  • Connect, build and establish strong relationships with key decision makers, comprising both prescribing and non-prescribing stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to develop relevant sales tools and collateral to support the team's value selling approach.
  • Identify and implement relevant training (i.e. negotiation skills, coaching for high potential reps, presentation skills, etc.) for the upskilling and developing of Commercial organization at the granular level.

About you

  • Must possess a degree in the field of Business / Marketing or any science discipline. An MBA would be considered a vital asset.
  • Solid sales and/or key account management with 5-10 years of experience, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare company.
  • Experience in handling oncology, hematology and/or specialty care therapeutic area is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, with proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and possess the ability to translate data and information into meaningful business insights.
  • Open and effective communication style, excellent public presentation skills, strong people skills, cross-functional teamwork, and the ability to interact with and influence the direction of internal stakeholders and industry key opinion leaders.
  • Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Proficient in using Sales CRM systems and tools such as Veeva, IQVIA, PowerBI, Tableu or equivalent
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas whenever required.
