About the role

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, distribution, and profitability across the organisation's most critical strategic retail partnerships at a national level. This role focuses on translating brand strategies into commercial execution, securing optimal category positioning, and cultivating high-level executive relationships with major key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop, negotiate, and execute annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with designated national accounts to hit volume, value, and margin targets.
  • Trading Terms Negotiation: Lead annual commercial reviews and trade term negotiations, balancing promotional spending against profitable ROI.
  • In-Store Excellence & Assortment: Drive product listing expansions, secure optimal shelf-share/visibility, and orchestrate robust promotional calendars.
  • Financial & Data Analysis: Monitor sales data, market shares, competitor activity, and stock levels to forecast demand patterns and continuously optimize commercial productivity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Supply Chain (for stock fulfillment), Finance (for credit control/aging debts), and Marketing to ensure flawless execution of product launches.

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales or account management, with a proven track record of managing major Modern Trade chains.
  • High-level commercial negotiation skills, robust numerical and data analytical proficiency, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
