Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Sales Merchandiser (Rounder) to cover retail outlets across the Klang Valley (KL & Selangor). You will conduct regular store visits to maintain shelf standards, execute in-store displays and promotions, manage stock levels, secure repeat orders, and train store staff - working closely with the Sales Executive to maximize brand presence on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Visits & Shelf Management

Conduct regular store visits according to a structured weekly call cycle and route plan

Maintain and improve shelf standards including facings, planogram compliance, and product positioning

Monitor and report competitor shelf positioning, pricing, and promotional activities

Capture in-store photos and submit visit reports after each store call

2. In-Store Display & Promotion Execution

Install, maintain, and refresh display fixtures and POP materials ensure quality standards

Propose and implement product zoning and merchandising improvements at store level

Execute in-store promotional activities reliably during campaign and promotion periods

Manage inventory of POP materials and display fixtures, and request replenishment as needed

3. Inventory Management & Repeat Order Acquisition

Conduct regular stock checks by SKU at each assigned store and maintain accurate records

Identify out-of-stock and low-stock situations promptly and encourage timely replenishment orders

Proactively approach store buyers and floor managers to secure repeat and replenishment orders

Share order information with the Sales Executive and coordinate with back office for fulfillment

Identify dead stock and overstock situations early and propose returns or product swaps

4. Staff Training & Relationship Building

Educate store floor staff on product features, benefits, and key sales talking points

Conduct mini product demonstrations and training sessions at store level

Build and maintain positive, trust-based relationships with store managers and section buyers

Gather and share field feedback and competitor insights from store staff

5. Reporting & Internal Coordination

Submit daily/weekly call reports including stores visited, stock status, issues flagged, and photos

Share timely field intelligence (stock issues, competitor activity, display status, orders) with the Sales Executive

Provide weekly summary reports to the Country Representative

MUST TO HAVE:

Min. 1 year of merchandising, rounder, or field sales experience in IT gadgets, consumer electronics, or FMCG

Hands-on experience working at retail store level (hypermarkets, electronics specialty stores, or similar)

Familiar with Klang Valley geography must own a car or motorcycle for daily store visits

English and/or Mandarin Chinese business communication recommended for the target area

Comfortable using a smartphone for reporting, photography, and field apps

Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage a structured daily route independently
