Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst to support the Sales and Commercial teams by providing accurate reporting, sales forecasting, data analysis, and operational insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining sales data integrity, preparing dashboards and reports, supporting annual sales planning, and driving continuous process improvements through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, monitor sales pipelines, and ensure pipeline hygiene.
- Participate in sales forecast calls and meetings, providing analytical insights to support business decisions.
- Support Sales Management and Commercial teams with analytical, project, systems, and data-related requests.
- Gather, consolidate, analyse, and distribute sales reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Extract, clean, validate, and consolidate data from multiple systems for in-depth analysis.
- Develop and maintain routine reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking to monitor sales performance.
- Support annual sales planning, including sales quota assignment and deployment for the Services Sales team in collaboration with Sales Managers and Strategy teams.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing validation and quality control processes.
- Automate reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical support for business stakeholders as required.
- Identify sales trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and recommend actionable insights.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Sales Operations function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Analytics, Commercial Operations, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting sales forecasting, reporting, and sales performance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills
Must-Have
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF functions, charts, data validation)
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
- Sales forecasting and performance analysis
- Dashboard creation and KPI reporting
- Data cleansing, validation, and consolidation
- Experience working with large datasets
Preferred
- Power BI or Tableau
- SQL for data extraction and analysis
- Power Query and/or Power Pivot
- Excel VBA or report automation
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP CRM, HubSpot, or similar)
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
