Job Summary
The Sales & Service Engineer – Treatment Southeast Asia is responsible for supporting the growth and execution of Xylem's treatment business across Southeast Asia, with primary focus on Wallace & Tiernan (W&T) chlorination systems, Leopold filtration systems, and Neptune Benson filtration technologies.
The role combines technical sales, aftermarket service support, partner development, commissioning, installation supervision, and customer training. The successful candidate will drive service and spare parts sales, develop and train service partners throughout Southeast Asia, provide technical support to customers, and support project execution activities including commissioning and startup of treatment systems.
This position requires a hands-on individual with strong technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to travel extensively throughout Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute service sales strategies to grow aftermarket revenue across Southeast Asia.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for spare parts, maintenance agreements, service contracts, upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning support.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipal, industrial, EPC, consultant, and channel partner customers.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through customer visits, networking, training events, and market intelligence.
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, service agreements, and commercial offers.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines using Salesforce.
- Meet or exceed annual sales, margin, and growth targets.
- Support commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
- Identify new channel partners and service partners throughout Southeast Asia.
Wallace & Tiernan Chlorination Systems
- Serve as the regional technical lead for Wallace & Tiernan chlorination technologies.
- Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct site inspections and technical audits.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Assist customers with operational issues, process optimization, and equipment upgrades.
- Deliver customer and partner training programs.
- Support warranty evaluations and field service activities.
- Provide technical support for control systems, instrumentation, analyzers, dosing equipment, gas chlorination systems, and sodium hypochlorite systems.
Commissioning, Installation & Project Execution
- Lead or support commissioning activities for Leopold and Neptune Benson filtration systems throughout Southeast Asia.
- Supervise installation activities performed by contractors, customers, or service partners.
- Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT), startup activities, performance testing, and system validation.
- Review project documentation, drawings, P&IDs, control philosophies, and commissioning plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with Xylem standards.
- Provide field supervision during major installations and commissioning projects.
- Support FAT participation where required.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, service, and sales teams during project execution.
Partner Development & Training
- Identify, qualify, and develop service partners across Southeast Asia.
- Conduct technical training programs for partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Develop partner capabilities for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Establish regional service coverage plans to improve customer responsiveness.
- Support certification and qualification of service partners.
Customer Service & Technical Support
- Act as the primary technical contact for assigned customers and partners.
- Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues in a timely manner.
- Support emergency breakdowns and critical service events.
- Coordinate with global product teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and aftermarket growth.
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate customer records and service reports.
- Prepare commissioning reports, service reports, and technical documentation.
- Update Salesforce opportunities, forecasts, and customer activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer developments.
- Assist management with annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:

Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in:
- Field service engineering
- Commissioning and startup activities
- Electrical and instrumentation systems
- Industrial process equipment
- Water or wastewater treatment industry preferred
