About the Company
Our client is an industrial and project management company with a global footprint spanning five countries. Serving heavy engineering industries for over 40 years, they are recognized as a premier vendor in safety solutions and project fulfillment across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Lifting sectors. As they scale their Malaysian operations, they are seeking a driven, autonomous sales professional to help anchor their growth and eventually transition into an office-based leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Drive lead generation and develop a robust pipeline within target heavy industries across South East Asia (SEA).
- Account Management: Manage, nurture, and grow existing key accounts (including major energy players in Malaysia) while building long-term relationships with industrial buyers and procurement teams.
- Sales Execution: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and technical proposals to negotiation and closing deals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal procurement and supply chain teams to deliver tailored technical solutions to clients.
- Regional Growth: Contribute actively to regional sales strategies and revenue growth targets for the SEA market.
- Expansion Support: Support the setup and eventual transition to the newly established Kuala Lumpur office.
Requirements:
- Industrial Sales Experience: Proven track record selling mechanical products, equipment, or technical solutions directly related to the Oil & Gas sector or heavy engineering industries.
- Market Exposure: Hand-on experience in account management and lead generation within South East Asian heavy engineering markets.
- Industry Background: Solid background in Oil & Gas, Marine, Offshore, Renewables, Power, or related heavy industries.
- Core Skills: Strong consultative, client-facing sales approach with excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a remote setup with minimal supervision.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
