Job Description

Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading and executing sales strategy across the Malaysia, with a focus on driving market penetration, customer engagement, and team development. While this is a regional role reporting into broader commercial leadership, there is potential for people management responsibilities in the future, depending on business growth and team expansion.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in medical devices, capital equipment, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Adapt and execute the Malaysia sales strategy to achieve or exceed annual targets.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, including pipeline development, tenders, pricing, and contract negotiation.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across public and private hospitals within the region.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Work closely with sales, service, and clinical teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the growth of team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs and contribute to a high-performance culture.
  • Note: There is potential for direct people management responsibilities in the future, depending on team structure and business needs.

Customer Engagement & KOL Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, procurement teams, hospital executives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support robotic program development and foster long-term customer partnerships within the region.
  • Assist in engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and advisory boards to drive clinical adoption and customer confidence.

Operational Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Service, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure smooth installations, training, and post-sales support.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to refine regional sales approach.
  • Provide regional insights to support broader commercial and product strategies.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in medical devices, preferably in surgical robotics, capital equipment, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, clinical, service).
  • Good understanding of Malaysia healthcare system and hospital procurement processes.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
