Key Duties
The Sales Support Engineer – Photovoltaic Solutions will support Rieckermann Malaysia to manage the design and commercial activities of Rieckermann's solar solutions within the South East Asia region. This includes thorough knowledge on solar design and the requirements for sustainable energy industry and being technically competent and commercially astute.
- Technical Support – Develop, review and perform detailed PV system designs and engineering calculations; and ensure compliance of clients requirements, project specifications, industry standards and local regulations
- Commercial Sales Support – Participate in technical discussions during pre-sales activities, offering technical input on feasibility, cost estimation, and system performance
- Market Research - Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to support strategic design and sales support planning, while staying current with emerging trends within the solar sector
- Business Development - Boost business growth through sustained market visibility, input on local marketing initiatives, and active participation in domestic and international industry events
- Relationship Management - Strengthen relationships of various stakeholders through engagements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in solar industry, preferably in design and projects
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Certified SEDA Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) System Design is a plus
- Has hands-on experience designing PV system design using design Software such as Helioscope, AutoCAD and etc.
- Strong understanding of solar PV system components, electrical engineering principles, and industry standards
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards
- Goal-oriented, dynamic and high sense of responsibility
- Digital savvy and proficiency in MS Office Applications, and relevant software and systems
- Proficient in written and verbal English skills
- Readiness to travel frequently locally and overseas
