Role Summary:
As a Sales Support Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales teams by providing technical expertise and ensuring smooth execution of the order-to-delivery process. This role bridges customer needs with internal capabilities, working across functions to deliver accurate and timely solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare equipment selections, costing, and detailed quotations based on project specifications.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers to ensure proper product selection, competitive pricing, and solution accuracy.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the company's product offerings, including their features, benefits, and applications.
- Enter and update order information in the order management system with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Coordinate order processing and delivery logistics to meet customer expectations.
- Manage and process customer orders, ensuring timely fulfilment and alignment with contract terms.
- Handle invoice issuance, credit/debit notes, and ensure timely revenue recognition in line with company policies.
- Proactively address and resolve order-related issues, including discrepancies, modifications, returns, and cancellations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the order management process and contribute to system and workflow enhancements.
- Support additional sales support and order management tasks as required by the business.
Requirement:
Education: Bachelor's degree in technical field (i.e. Engineering, HVAC, or related field).
Experience: Prior experience in order management, technical support, sales engineering role is an advantage, especially in the HVAC or industrial equipment industry.
Skills:
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or order management systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
