SAP BASIS Consultant

Company Description

Cosima Solutions is expanding its SAP Technology practice and is seeking experienced SAP BASIS Consultants to support our U.S.-based clients. If you have strong expertise in SAP system administration, performance tuning, user management, and landscape operations across S/4HANA and ECC environments, we'd love to connect with you.

Role Description

• Provide BASIS administration and technical support for SAP systems serving U.S. clients.
• Perform system installations, upgrades, migrations, client copies, and refreshes across SAP landscapes (DEV, QA, PROD).
• Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations following compliance and audit standards.
• Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and database utilization for SAP HANA, Oracle, or SQL databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance, transport, RFC, and spool issues.
• Support SAP kernel upgrades, support pack implementations, and add-on installations.
• Manage background jobs, transport management system (TMS), and change control processes.
• Collaborate with functional, development, and security teams to ensure smooth and secure system operations.
• Work closely with onshore BASIS leads and U.S. infrastructure teams to manage incidents and service requests.
• Document technical procedures, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration across ECC, S/4HANA, and BW systems.
• Proven experience supporting U.S.-based clients or global delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, client strategy, and transport management.
• Experience with SAP HANA database administration, Solution Manager (SolMan), and SAP Fiori / Gateway configuration.
• Hands-on experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and job scheduling.
• Familiarity with SAP security concepts, authorization troubleshooting, and integration with LDAP/SSO.
• Exposure to SAP Cloud Connector, BTP, or AWS/Azure-hosted SAP systems is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills with distributed teams.
