SAP CPI Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP CPI Consultant to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). The role involves working closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless data integration across SAP and non-SAP systems.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Client Relationship

• Provide consulting services to clients in an efficient and effective manner, based on technical experience and expertise, during vision and strategy, architecture and development phases.
• Clarify processes to client users and business stakeholders as required; offer input and identify the relevant issues, considerations and capabilities in selecting technical solutions; and facilitate an enhanced user experience.
• Manage client expectations and balance the needs of the company and clients to ensure satisfaction for both.
• Influence decisions and project direction at the executive level
• Perform consultative selling and business through superior delivery skills, and leveraging on client relations and subject matter expertise
• Support presales effort in response to proposals, and conduct demonstrations and presentations as needed
  
  

Project Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPI
• Integrate SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC) with third-party applications
• Configure adapters such as IDoc, SOAP, REST, SFTP, OData, and HTTP
• Perform message mapping, value mapping, and data transformation
• Monitor integration processes and troubleshoot issues
• Handle error handling, logging, and performance optimization
• Support end-to-end integration testing, UAT, and go-live activities
• Work with functional consultants to understand integration requirements
• Maintain technical documentation for avoidable issues and interfaces
• Provide support during hypercare and ongoing maintenance
• Collaborate with a cross-functional teams to ensure that work delivered meets requirements and standards both functionally and technically.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with colleagues

• Provides input and recommendations regarding new technologies and concepts for continuous improvement
• Established experience working on customer sites managing and delivering quality technical services against formal service levels and timeframes
• Strong demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills:
• Confidence in presenting to, and discussing solutions with, various audiences and groups of different sizes
• Experience in running and facilitating workshops
• Proven ability to support presales activities including:
• Organising solution marketing content
• Preparing sales proposals and statement of work documents including project resource plans and effort estimates
• Carry out systems demonstrations
• Build, establish and maintain trust, and strong, productive and effective relationships, including with clients, and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups and individuals

Qualification, Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of system development life cycle experience, covering all project phases system development life cycle experience, covering all project phases
• Minimum of 2 years of of SAP integration experience
• Ability to perform assigned tasks independently and complete deliverables on-time
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, with flexibility to quickly adapt to rapidly changing cultural and business environments with a strong desire to excel

• Adaptable to the consulting lifestyle with flexibility to travel which may be minimal or extensive depending on project requirements
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  
  

Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite
• Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, XSLT, Groovy scripting
• Experience with APIs, REST, SOAP web services
• Understanding of SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP IDoc, RFC, Proxy, and OData services
• Familiar with SAP BTP platform and cloud integration concepts
• ABAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration)
• Knowledge of Event Mesh, API Management, and Open Connectors
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and transport management
• Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques
• Excellent interpersonal communication/collaboration skills
• Passionate in analysing customers issues as well as to build and improve existing processes
• Strong experience in troubleshooting process problems and technical developments, as well as implementation of new functionality
• Excellent business communication skills
