We are seeking a skilled SAP FICO Consultant to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of finance processes and hands-on experience in SAP configuration, system support, and business process optimization.
This role involves working closely with finance stakeholders to ensure that SAP solutions meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications
- Design and implement SAP financial processes, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- Internal Orders
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (COPA)
- Support SAP system implementation, upgrades, and enhancements
- Perform system configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Prepare functional documentation, including business requirement documents (BRD) and functional specifications (FS)
- Collaborate with technical teams on system integrations and custom developments
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
- Conduct user training and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Monitor and improve financial reporting and closing processes
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in SAP project planning and execution
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience working with SAP FI/CO modules
- Strong knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)
- Hands-on experience with SAP configuration and implementation
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting
- Experience in:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Cost Center Accounting
- Financial Closing Processes
- Experience in business process analysis and system configuration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certification in SAP FI or SAP FICO
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance
- Experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation
- Knowledge of:
- SAP Integration with MM, SD, or PP modules
- SAP Fiori applications
- SAP reporting tools
- Localization requirements for Malaysia finance regulations
- Experience in multinational or shared services environments
- Familiarity with Agile or SAP Activate methodologies
