We are seeking a seasoned SAP R2R Consultant with 810 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) and the Record-to-Report (R2R) process. The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered end-to-end R2R solutions and bring deep domain knowledge in one or more industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Oil, Retail & Consumer Goods, etc.).
About the Role
The key responsibilities of this role include leading the design, configuration, and support of SAP FI/CO and R2R processes, as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
SAP FI/CO & R2R Module Expertise:
- Lead the design, configuration, and support of SAP FI/CO and R2R processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, closing activities, and financial reporting.
- Customize R2R flows to align with unique business requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Business Process Analysis & Optimization:
- Analyze current Record-to-Report processes, identify pain points, and propose standardization or automation opportunities.
- Design scalable, efficient R2R process flows to improve financial closing, reporting accuracy, and compliance.
Cross-Module Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration of FI/CO with MM, SD, PP, and PS for unified data flow and operational continuity.
- Handle process dependencies such as invoice posting, asset capitalization, and financial reconciliation.
End-User Enablement & Support:
- Develop and deliver training for R2R cycle users, including journal entry, closing activities, and financial reporting.
- Provide expert-level support for operational issues such as reconciliation discrepancies, closing errors, and reporting challenges.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for FI/CO configurations, functional specifications, test scripts, and training guides.
- Ensure documentation supports traceability, audit requirements, and handover throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay updated on the latest innovations in SAP FI/CO and R2R, including SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori apps, and advanced financial analytics.
- Drive ongoing improvements in the R2R lifecycle for faster closing and enhanced reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree (e.g., MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration) is preferred.
- SAP Certification in SAP FI/CO or SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
- 810 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO and R2R process implementation and support.
- Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery from blueprinting to post-go-live support.
- Strong understanding of financial closing, reporting, asset accounting, and integration with other SAP modules.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in global delivery models with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Engineering, Construction & Operations (EC&O) and/or Manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori apps for finance, or advanced financial analytics.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, audit processes, and financial controls.
