We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Lead Consultant to lead critical finance workstreams in a large-scale SAP Brownfield++ Migration Program. The ideal candidate will possess deep SAP Finance and Controlling expertise, proven experience in at least one end-to-end Brownfield migration project, and the ability to seamlessly adapt to the client's ecosystem while effectively collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
This role requires a mature consulting professional who can provide strategic guidance, hands-on execution, stakeholder leadership, and solution ownership throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) workstream for a Brownfield++ migration project.
- Drive Fit-to-Standard workshops, gap assessments, solution design, and implementation activities.
- Assess existing SAP ECC/S4HANA finance processes and define migration strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage finance-related migration activities, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Cost Center Accounting
- Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Product Costing
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Financial Closing and Reporting
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project management teams, and cross-functional SAP streams.
- Support data migration, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and hypercare activities.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans across the finance workstream.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to project team members and junior consultants.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders and contribute to overall transformation success.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of SAP consulting experience with strong specialization in SAP Finance & Controlling.
- Proven experience as a Lead Consultant on large SAP transformation programs.
- Must have successfully completed at least one end-to-end SAP Brownfield Migration Project.
- Strong expertise in SAP FICO configuration, design, and business process optimization.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration initiatives.
- Strong understanding of finance business processes and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing consulting skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to adapt quickly to the client's operating environment and work effectively within diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- Experience in multinational or enterprise-scale SAP programs.
- Prior consulting experience with system integrators or global consulting organizations.
- Malaysian candidates preferred due to project location and stakeholder engagement requirements.
