Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SAP Funds Management / Treasury Consultant role based in Malaysia. The consultant will design, configure, and support SAP Funds Management and Treasury modules, ensuring alignment with client business processes and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, preparing functional specifications, conducting system configuration, and performing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing. The role involves collaborating closely with finance, treasury, and project management stakeholders to optimize workflows, improve reporting, and enhance controls. The consultant will also provide end-user training, prepare documentation, support go-live and post-implementation stabilization, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across client engagements.
Qualifications
- Strong SAP Funds Management expertise, including configuration, budgeting, commitment, and actuals management for public sector or corporate environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Treasury and Risk Management, cash management, liquidity planning, and integration with FI/CO modules.
- Solid understanding of financial processes, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and treasury operations within complex organizations.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process mapping, solution design, and preparation of functional and technical documentation.
- Experience in system testing, data validation, troubleshooting, and incident/resolution management in SAP environments.
- Ability to conduct user training, develop training materials, and provide structured knowledge transfer to finance and treasury teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant SAP certifications are an advantage.
- Prior consulting experience, especially in ASEAN markets or in sectors such as government, energy, or financial services
