SAP HCM Data Consultant

Strada Global Professional Services (PS) provides application support and project implementation for clients worldwide. During implementation projects, Data Migration (DM) plays a critical role in setting up these services.

The SAP HCM Data Consultant is responsible for executing data migration activities for one or multiple payroll countries, under the guidance and monitoring of a DM Lead. The responsibilities span from preparation through testing, loading, validation, and reconciliation, all aligned to the Data Migration Plan, which is customized per country by the DM Lead.

The Data Migration (DM) team consists of different levels; a DM Manager is accountable for big programs, global strategy and planning, the DM Lead is responsible for the execution, and the DM Support assists with the high volumes; where required we have Data Scientists providing additional services.

Responsibilities

  • Support the DM Lead throughout all phases of data migration.
  • Prepare and execute DM templates following client's global and local standards.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation using defined tools and approaches.
  • Review client-provided data files for quality, completeness, and readiness before loading.
  • Load data to the testing and production environment and update the load tracker with the results; report to the DM Lead, propose a solution, monitor until everything is reconciled and loaded successfully.
  • Provide validation reports and assist with the client's data validation until sign-off.
  • Share experience and suggest improvements on data migration templates and loading.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or MBA from a recognized institution.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT-related projects or environments.
  • Willing to work in shifts.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in a global delivery model.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources, Time & Attendance, and Payroll concepts and related Data Migration processes.
  • Functional knowledge of HRIS technologies such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, SAP HCM, Peoplesoft, and Payroll (SAP PY, PT, FIORI).
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, or similar data-handling tools.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel for business as required.
  • High level of proficiency in English (written and spoken).
