Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) Consultant to support end-to-end project activities including implementation, rollouts, enhancements, and production support. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to analyse requirements, design SAP solutions, configure systems, and ensure successful delivery of PP/QM functionalities integrated with other SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with business users for PP and QM modules.
- Analyse, map, and document business processes; perform gap/fit analysis.
- Configure and customize SAP PP sub-modules:
- Demand Management, MRP, Long-Term Planning
- Production Orders / Process Orders
- Capacity Planning
- Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing, Work Centers
- Product Costing (basic understanding)
- Configure SAP QM sub-modules:
- Quality Planning, Quality Inspection (incoming, in-process, final)
- Inspection Plans, Sampling Procedures, MICs
- Quality Certificates, Quality Notifications, Audit Management
- Handle master data setup for PP & QM (Material Master, Production Version, BOM, Routing, QM View).
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, and custom reports (RICEFW).
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, user training, and documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, FI/CO, EHS, etc.) for integrated processes.
- Support data migration activities using tools such as LSMW.
- Collaborate with technical teams and external system vendors (MES, LIMS, other sub-systems).
- Provide post-go-live support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years hands-on experience in SAP PP and SAP QM.
- Experience in S/4HANA environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of PPQM integration and their integration with MM, SD, FI, WM, etc.
- Good knowledge of master data (BOM, Routing, Inspection Plans, MICs).
- Experience with writing functional specifications and coordinating with ABAP teams.
- Exposure to interface setups with MES/LIMS or other manufacturing systems is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
