Position: SAP Project Manager
Location: Malaysia (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote based on client requirement)
Contract Type: Permanent / 12-month renewable contract
Experience Required: 812+ years of overall SAP experience with at least 5 years in Project Management
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and manage SAP implementation, enhancement, and support projects across multiple SAP modules and business functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder engagement, risk management, resource planning, and ensuring timely and successful project execution aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects across modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.).
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budget, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional SAP teams (functional, technical, BASIS, integration) and external vendors.
- Conduct requirement workshops and manage business stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Ensure project governance, documentation, and adherence to SAP methodology (ASAP, Activate, Agile/Hybrid).
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive project meetings, including status updates, steering committee meetings, and issue resolution sessions.
- Oversee change management, training planning, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Support project quality assurance through reviews, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), and cutover planning.
- Manage integration touchpoints between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit standards, and IT governance.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party deliverables.
- Provide guidance and leadership to project team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 812 years of SAP experience, including 5+ years in SAP Project Management.
- Strong exposure to SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM, HR, or others).
- Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA or ECC projects.
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP and other business systems.
- Experience in leading full lifecycle implementations (Blueprinting Go-Live Support).
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or shared services industries.
- Technical understanding of ABAP, BASIS, or integration platforms (added advantage).
