We are looking for an experienced SAP Security & Authorization Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA migration and transformation projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP role design, authorization management, security remediation, and end-to-end S/4HANA conversion activities. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP security solutions while ensuring compliance, governance, and smooth transition during S/4HANA migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects (Brownfield, Greenfield, and Selective Data Transition).
- Analyze existing SAP ECC roles and perform authorization impact assessment for S/4HANA conversion.
- Design and develop SAP roles (Single, Composite, and Derived roles) based on business requirements.
- Perform role redesign and remediation activities during S/4HANA migration.
- Configure and maintain SAP authorization objects, profiles, and access controls.
- Manage User Administration activities including user creation, modification, locking/unlocking, and access provisioning.
- Perform SAP Fiori security configuration including catalogs, groups, spaces, pages, and OData service authorizations.
- Configure and maintain SAP S/4HANA authorization concepts and best practices.
- Perform Security and Authorization testing during SIT, UAT, cutover, and post Go-Live support.
- Support SAP GRC Access Control implementation and integration (preferred).
- Conduct Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, risk remediation, and compliance activities.
- Analyze SAP Security Notes and implement security recommendations.
- Support SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP security, and integration security activities.
- Work with functional teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into SAP authorization roles.
- Prepare technical documentation including role design documents, access matrices, and security procedures.
- Support audit requirements and ensure compliance with internal security policies.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in SAP Security and Authorization administration.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
- Expertise in SAP Role Design, Role Build, Role Testing, and Transport Management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP authorization objects, transactions, and tables.
- Experience with SAP Fiori Security and Gateway Authorization.
- Knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control (ARA, ARM, BRM, EAM) is preferred.
- Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA security concepts.
- Understanding of SAP Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes.
- Knowledge of SoD compliance and audit requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of SAP Security & Authorization experience.
- Minimum 1–2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA migration or conversion projects.
- Experience in role remediation, redesign, and authorization testing.
- Experience supporting large SAP landscapes with multiple environments (DEV, QA, PRD).
Preferred Skills
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Authorization and Auditing.
- Experience with SAP GRC 12.0.
- Exposure to SAP BTP Security, Cloud Identity Services, and IAS/IPS.
- Experience with RISE with SAP security model.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
