Supervise warehouse/procurement/distribution/inventory management functions, effectively managing cost and improving efficiency. You also examine existing procedures and streamline the operation to meet product distribution goals.
Supply Chain Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, market changes, new opportunities, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Work with Supply Chain Planners to forecast demand and develop supply plans to ensure timely material availability.
- Develop procedures to coordinate supply chain activities with Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance.
- Review and improve supply chain practices to comply with changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Manage strategic and tactical purchasing activities, including material requirements planning and supplier coordination.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, and service requirements.
- Review production forecasts and supplier performance metrics and implement supplier evaluation and selection procedures.
Inventory & Materials Management
- Manage material requirements planning and inventory control to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Analyse inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess and obsolete stock.
- Apply appropriate inventory management principles, including Last In, First Out, where applicable.
Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Design and develop plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished products.
- Assess material-handling equipment and staffing requirements to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Manage warehouse and receiving activities to support efficient material flow.
Supply Chain Process Improvement
- Identify and implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuously review processes and identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational optimization.
MUST TO HAVE:
-10+ years hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management, including Supply chain planning, Procurement and sourcing,
Inventory management, Warehouse and logistics operations
-Proven experience managing international supply chain activities and cross-border business transactions including APAC & Europe
-Proven ability to lead and manage a team of approximately 20 employees, with strong people management & leadership skills
-Demonstrated ability to optimize supply chain operations, improve efficiency, manage costs, and respond to changing business and market requirements
