Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Scrum Master & Project Coordinator to join our PMO or IT Delivery team. The ideal candidate will act as a Servant Leader for the Agile team while simultaneously ensuring strict adherence to Project Management governance, budget tracking, and timeline management. You will bridge the gap between Agile execution and traditional project reporting, ensuring that we deliver value on time, within scope, and on budget .
Key Responsibilities
Agile & Scrum Mastery (The Team Focus)
- Ceremony Facilitation: Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives) ensuring they are time-boxed, productive, and focused on achieving sprint goals .
- Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and remove obstacles hindering the development team's progress, coordinating with external stakeholders to resolve dependencies .
- Coaching: Coach the team in self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile principles. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven retrospectives .
- Product Owner Support: Assist the Product Owner in backlog management, ensuring user stories are well-groomed, prioritized, and clearly defined .
Project Coordination (The Business Focus)
- Planning & Tracking: Create, maintain, and lead project plans and timelines. Ensure program milestones are met by facilitating partnerships across different teams .
- Governance: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors .
- Reporting: Communicate project status, risks, issues, and KPIs to management and stakeholders. Utilize verification techniques to manage changes in project scope and schedule .
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements translation (where applicable) .
Qualifications & Experience
Must-Haves (3-5 Years Profile):
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven working experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Coordinator, or similar hybrid role (experience within a PMO is highly preferred) .
- Methodology: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies. Knowledge of Lean, Kanban, or XP is a plus .
- Tools: Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience with Miro is a plus .
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), or SAFe certification is required .
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong sense of responsibility, negotiation skills, and attention to detail .
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines effectively.
Nice to Have:
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry .
- AI Exposure: Basic understanding or exposure to AI tools is a significant advantage .
- Technical Know-How: Understanding of basic data processing or digital transformation concepts .
