Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about teaching, able to create engaging lesson plans, and committed to delivering impactful learning experiences aligned with our school's curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Classroom Management
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school syllabus.
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills to students.
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
- Use various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Student Progress & Assessment
- Assess, record, and report students progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students when required.
- Identify students requiring additional support and provide intervention strategies.
Classroom & Administrative Duties
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning aids.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and performance records.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Ensure classroom discipline and school policies are followed.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate with parents regarding students progress when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to support curriculum development.
- Support the school's vision, mission, and values in daily teaching practice.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, TESL, Linguistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in English.
- Strong grasp of English language and grammar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, responsible, and able to work well with children.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Familiarity with teaching aids, digital tools, and modern teaching methods is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience for SPM student Personal Attributes
