Job Summary
Lead and govern the company's API and software architecture direction, ensuring solutions, systems, and changes align with technology standards, business needs, security requirements, and long-term architecture goals.
The Day-to-Day
- Define and maintain API and software architecture standards, guidelines, and governance processes.
- Review and approve solution designs, system changes, and new technology initiatives to ensure alignment with architecture direction.
- Provide architecture guidance for application, integration, and platform solutions across the organisation.
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions that meet business, security, and performance requirements.
- Establish and oversee architecture, security, and performance review processes before solutions go live.
- Contribute to departmental and divisional objectives while driving continuous improvement in architecture practices.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in software or API architecture.
- Strong experience in designing, reviewing, and governing enterprise technology solutions.
- Good understanding of API design, system integration, application architecture, and security best practices.
- Experience working with vendors and managing architecture reviews for technology projects.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using AI tools to support architecture activities such as design reviews, code reviews, documentation, or automation is an added advantage.
