Section Head, Operations - East Malaysia (Labuan)

Summary of position:

Responsible for managing operational and logistics activities to optimize resources, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve company goals, while driving sales growth through effective marketing strategies to ensure profitability, sustainability, and meeting financial objectives.

Responsibilities

1.Business Development & Sales Plan and execute marketing strategies, prepare proposals/tenders, and drive revenue growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.

2.Operational Management Oversee and monitor freight forwarding operations across East Malaysia branches (Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Miri, Bintulu) to ensure efficiency and service excellence.

3.Resource & People Management Plan manpower needs, manage staff performance and discipline, and promote compliance with company policies, safety, and legal requirements.

4.Financial & Cost Control Manage credit approvals, DSO, cost control, profitability, and petty cash administration.

5.Governance & Compliance Ensure professionalism, corporate governance, and timely reporting to meet KPIs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

1. Degree/Diploma in Logistics/ Business Management, or equivalent.

2. Minimum 5 - 7 years working experience in Freight Forwarding or any related field.

3. Computer literate/ MS Office/ Analytical skills/ Interpersonal skills/ Business Communication Skills/ Leadership skills.
