JOB OVERVIEW
Join a leading Cyber Exposure organization and play a critical role in helping customers understand, prioritize, and reduce cyber risk. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Security Engineer to support our sales organization and drive customer success in the Japanese market. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team, responsible for articulating the value of Cyber Exposure and security solutions. You will help customers and prospects understand how to effectively leverage the platform to identify, assess, and manage cyber risk across their environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Advisory & Solution Design - Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and prospects, with a focus on Cyber Exposure, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and Risk Management.
- Product Demonstrations & Proof of Concepts (POCs) - Deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and POCs for the company's security platform and solutions.
- Sales Partnership - Partner closely with the sales team to drive opportunities, address complex technical questions, and clearly differentiate company solutions from competitors.
- Customer Needs Assessment - Analyze customer security challenges and business requirements, and propose tailored solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the platform.
- Internal Collaboration - Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to share market feedback, promote knowledge exchange, and ensure customer expectations are met.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication & Presentation Excellence - Exceptional ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including security practitioners, leadership teams, and non-technical executives. Comfortable leading technical discussions and live product demonstrations.
- Security Engineering Experience - 4+ years of experience in a security-related technical role such as Security Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Vulnerability Management Expertise - Solid understanding of vulnerability management concepts, network security fundamentals (TCP/IP), and enterprise operating systems.
- Collaboration & Teamwork - Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across sales, engineering, and customer success functions.
- Proactive & Results-Driven Approach - Self-motivated, proactive, and focused on achieving customer and business outcomes while maintaining a collaborative working style.
- Japanese Language Proficiency - Native-level or must be able to read, write, and speak in Japanese
Nice-to-Haves
- Security Platform Experience - Hands-on experience with vulnerability management or cyber exposure platforms.
- Cloud Security Knowledge - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common cloud security challenges.
- DevOps & Automation Skills - Experience with DevOps tools, API integrations, scripting, or Python SDKs for security automation.
- Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge - Understanding of industry standards and regulations such as PCI DSS, NIS2, DORA, CIS, or ISO 27001.
