Security Lead — WAAP & API Protection (Akamai)

We're looking for a Security Lead to drive a new global product protecting our enterprise environment, with a focus on Web Application and API Protection (WAAP).
This is a hands-on technical and migration role. You'll be the expert who reviews, validates, and challenges our security solution, and who runs the actual rollout across business entities worldwide.
What you'll do:
- Bring deep technical expertise in WAAP & API protection, specifically on Akamai
- Work across cloud environments (Azure / AWS)
- Review, validate, and challenge the existing security solution
- Own the onboarding roadmap for each entity
- Review, validate, and improve security policies across DDoS L7, WAF, Bot, and API protection
- Raise and manage service requests or incident tickets with the vendor/provider
- Document and report on incidents related to DDoS and the WAAP migration program
- Run meetings with entities globally to support onboarding
- Analyze logs and security data
- Build KPIs and security dashboards
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Defense and Architecture teams on security requests and issues

- Acceptance test documents and results
- Proof of concept / pilot results
- Project management documentation (planning, reporting, logs, action/issue tracking, budget actuals vs. forecast)
What you bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with WAAP solutions
- WAF security mechanisms, on-premise and cloud
- Proven experience working with Akamai solutions
- Comfortable working in a fully English-speaking environment
