Security Manager / Assistant Security Manager
Job Summary
The Security Manager / Assistant Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, visitors, and property. This role oversees daily security operations including pool lifeguard, implements safety procedures, manages emergency response situations, and ensures compliance with hotel policies and local regulations. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a secure and welcoming environment at all times.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel security operations and ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors.
- Monitor and manage security personnel, CCTV systems, and access control procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the property.
- Handle incidents, emergencies, and investigations professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety policies, fire regulations, and local security requirements.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services when necessary.
- Prepare security reports, incident documentation, and duty schedules.
- Train and guide the security team on standard operating procedures and emergency response.
Requirements And Skills
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in hotel security or related security management role preferred.
- Fluent in English and Malay (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, emergency procedures, and security operations.
- Proactive, creative, well-organized, detail-minded with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work independently under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Former police or military personnel are encouraged to apply.
