A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Security Officer, you will monitor the premises and protect our valued staff, visitors, tenants, and inventory. You ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control. You will report to the Security Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Conduct regular patrols either on foot or using a vehicle to ensure security of assigned area
- Perform security checks of entrances, exits, and other vulnerable areas to ensure they are secure and free of unauthorized individuals or items
- Maintain detailed records of security incidents, observations, and actions taken
- Take appropriate action in emergency situations such as fires or medical emergencies
- Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification and issuing visitor badges
- Ensure proper functioning of security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems
Skills You Bring:
- Minimum of 1+ years of related experience
- Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information
- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
- Operates in a [professional office and/or laboratory/manufacturing] environment
- Noise level in the work environment is usually average
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
