Role Description

The Senior Account Executive leads the day-to-day management and strategic execution for assigned clients, with a continued focus on our key Tobacco client. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality campaigns and materials, on time and within budget. The Senior Account Executive acts as a primary client contact, provides mentorship to junior team members, and proactively contributes to both tactical implementation and strategic account growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the comprehensive day-to-day management, strategic direction, and financial health of assigned accounts.
  • Lead and facilitate client meetings, status updates, and strategic presentations, demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Drive the planning, development, and flawless execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand strategy.
  • Proactively manage client and agency budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and growth.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and internal agency departments, ensuring seamless communication, effective collaboration, and timely project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Account Executives and other junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring project excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth within existing client relationships and present strategic recommendations.
  • Any other reasonable duties, functions or responsibilities assigned to you from time to time.

Required Skills & Demonstrated Behaviours

  • In-depth understanding of agency functions, processes, and a proven ability to apply this knowledge to client success.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building and nurturing strong client relationships.
  • Superior organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong sense of initiative, demonstrated leadership potential, and resilience to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and sound judgment in decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in an advertising or marketing agency environment.
  • Advanced understanding of general marketing principles, digital marketing, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (including advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills) and familiarity with project management software.
